A Dolphin Up a Tree!
[TLP-462432]

$23.95

This colourfully illustrated children?s book tells the story of a girl who casts a magic spell over her stuffed animals and herself. The animals are the same as the animals used by Linda Berens when she describes the four temperaments: fox (Artisan), beaver (Guardian), Owl (Rational), and dolphin (Idealist).

The dolphin ends up in a tree and the other animals make suggests as to how to get the dolphin out of the tree and back into the sea. Then they realize that they are different from on another and together they come up with a solution.

The story is a lot of fun and will be enjoyed by children ages 3 to 7. It will make an excellent classroom story with pictures that are big enough for a group to see. Then the teacher can get the children to talk about differences. It would make an excellent introduction to help children think about what their temperaments might be and how that could explain some of their behaviour.

It would be great if there were more of these animal stories that could be used with children.
