Strategies for Success
[CAP-5215-9]

$8.30

This short booklet is designed to be given to students after they have taken the MBTI? and had its meaning explained to them. Now they are ready to apply these concepts to being more effective students. While some students would be able to gain quite a bit from just reading the booklet, most would require a presentation and discussion on the various techniques suggested.

The booklet looks at each of the four dimensions of behaviour and how they relate to being a student. It also suggests how to use this information to choose one?s teachers if given that option.

Next it looks at the combination of preferences using NP, SJ, SP and NJ. Each is described, indicating how the two-letter combination learns, plans course loads and deals with the reading assignments.

There are some tips on how Sensors and Intuitors write as well as how the attitude-orientation combinations, EJ, IP, EP and IJ, affect writing. There are tips on taking standardized tests as well as writing essays. It includes some suggestions on improving your study habits, such as reading textbooks and other material, taking notes in class and preparing for tests.

This booklet is short enough that students are likely to read it. It does require someone who is type knowledgeable to present the material. Also, it would help if teachers refer to the concepts from time to time in their courses to reinforce the concepts.
